The Program

The Working for Good program includes 4 classroom/group discussions based on curriculum readings in April 2006, followed by a series of 3 hour-long video conferences the week of May 1st 2006.

How it Works

Here’s how you can participate:

  • Download the W4G Curriculum and
  • Register to view the video conferences on the private web cast
  • Read each of the four lessons and discuss them as a group (one at a time or batched together, whatever works best for your group). Each lesson includes discussion questions to facilitate your discussion.
  • Tune in to the web cast on May 2nd, 3rd, and 4th at 10 am EDT
  • Sometime in April, we will release details relating to a Working for Good business plan contest, which you are also invited to participate in.

Curriculum

  • Lesson 1: Progress & Possibility
  • Lesson 2: The Entrepreneurial Spirit
  • Lesson 3: Entrepreneurs in Service
  • Lesson 4: Liberating the Entrepreneurial Spirit for Good

Participants are encouraged to read the articles before their group meets to discuss them. once a week for four weeks (or any other configuration of sessions that work for your group), groups meet to discuss the readings, facilitated by discussion questions at the end of each lesson.

Video Conferences

During the first week in May 2006, we will conduct three, one-hour long video conferences: Tuesday May 2nd, Wednesday May 3rd, and Thursday May 4th at 10 am EDT. Four “Ambassador” Groups will participate actively in the video conferences, in dialog with each other. The three session will focus on:
